Texas Chapter
The Texas Chapter closely follows the By-Laws of National ASLA. Chapter officers make up the voting body for the state. Each Section also has one representative, the chair who is a voting member on the Chapter level.

Texas Chapter President_Kimberly Terrell Kimberly is a graduate of the Landscape Architecture program at Louisiana State University. She is the Parks Development Manager for the City of Sugar Land Parks & Recreation Department. Kimberly's objectives as President-Elect are to maintain and increase membership and involvement in the ASLA, improve the visibility of the profession, and to encourage the development of future Landscape Architects by working with children through career discovery and mentoring programs. |

Texas Chapter Past President_Tom Alves Thomas Alves is a registered landscape architect and certified planner with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from University of Texas at Arlington and a Master of Landscape Architecture from Louisiana State University. His experience of over 25 years includes a wide range of projects from parks and recreation to transportation, commercial, institutional, and residential facilities. He has volunteered with many non-profit organizations throughout his carrier and has had the opportunity to serve ASLA as a state officer for the last six years. |

Texas Chapter Trustee_Randy Phillips A graduate of Texas A&M in 1979, Randy holds a Bachelors Degree in Landscape Architecture. Randy serves in the Jacobs Urban Design and Planning Studio in Dallas. On the National level he serves on the Public Relations and Communications Committees. It is Randy's goal to recruit good chapter and section leaders throughout the state, to continue legislative and regulatory accomplishments and enhance the visibility of the profession in the state. |

Texas Chapter Secretary_Joe Madrid Joe is a graduate of Texas Tech University in 2008 and holds a Bachelor Degree in Landscape Architecture. He is currently employed as a landscape designer for Teague Nall and Perkins in Fort Worth, Texas. His work interests include parks, trails, entry features, irrigation plans and site development for both private and public clients. Joe’s objective as State Secretary is to promote new and young Landscape Architecture graduates and their participation in ASLA. |
